Tom of Finland

This biographical drama traces the life and artistic career of erotic illustrator, Touko Laaksonen, known as Tom of Finland. The story follows Laaksonen through his service in the military and post war struggle with his identity as a homosexual man being forced to marry and have children to evade persecution. Working in secret, Laaksonen developes his personal style, drawing muscular men with exaggerated attributes.
